so good to be reminded of good tea. That video and the comments made me cry with laughter šŸ˜‚ Timely too as I’ m back in Scotland where the water makes a perfect cuppa ( done the right way of course!) French water - in the SW anyway, is terrible and I barely drink tea anymore as a result - and you really need to own a cow to get fresh milk !!!

So glad you found the humour here too. Yes, your absolutely right, bad water does affect the tea flavour. I know when we get to the bottom of our tank, it tastes metallic and I can’t drink my tea when it’s like that - yuck. Mmm I’m not sure I’d go those lengths for fresh milk either Alex, maybe switch to herbal? Thanks for enjoying this one, it’s nice to have you hear 😘

That Doc Brown rap was very funny. I also liked him in Back to the Future.

(What’s that you say? Oh. Different guy.)

Did you notice the MC at the end of the video in a Star Trek uni?

I LOVE THIS OH SO MUCH! I drew an illustration once on making a perfect cuppa...I must dig it out. Creating a tea ritual is magic. šŸŖ„

Yes! Except ok I confess. I skip the cup warning part and ummm, the teabag stays in until the tea is cold. My mum prefers for me to dip it two or three times and then we’re done.

Nothing wrong with that Leanne. It has to be made how you like it, weak or strong! My tea bags are quite strong so leaving them in makes it too strong even for me! X

I don't know if you remember a tea-making tutorial that did the rounds a couple of years - for all the wrong reasons. Some hapless woman made a video of herself and her helpless daughter making (instant) tea in a MICROWAVE. The fury that erupted (in Britain at least) was the stuff of legend. I had to go and look again just now and the comments are very, very funny.

Thank you for setting the tea-making record straight. I love your memories of time with your GG too.

Have you seen the sweet lady who tries to put the leaves in her electric kettle, and goes through about 7 rounds of feedback before arriving at basically exactly the process Lisa shares? It's hilarious.

I can't stop laughing! That was wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing. I foresaw disaster when she was pouring boiling water into a glass jug. Thank goodness it didn't crack. And COCONUT milk?? What the --

I also love this comment:

"You know when you shove coffee granules in a mug and pour boiling water over it?

That - but with a tea bag instead of coffee.

There's no need to go all Hemingway on it's ass."

Well if you're sure. You may not get much else done today once you wander into the comments. The comments section is usually the place where humanity goes to die, but in this case, it just makes me laugh. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZn5dUQJ810

Oh my goodness this IS hilarious!!! I think this was one of my favourite comments but there are so many lolslolslols ā€œI was so enraged by this video I had to go make a cup of tea to calm down! As a Brit, I consider this a hate crime.ā€

So many good ones but that was one of my favourites too. I do wonder whether that dry British humour translates to other countries and cultures?
